If I could choose one word to describe Ashby and Daniel’s wedding, it would be joyful. Their fun-loving personalities shone through every detail, and their day was the definition of a celebration. Not even the rain could get in the way! When a storm popped up on the forecast, we worked together to shift the layout and timeline to include an indoor ceremony before flipping the space to the reception. Thankfully, the rain held off for photos, and they were able to take gorgeous portraits on the stunning grounds of Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge.
Ashby and Daniel’s vision was a black-and-white, cinematic dream of an affair, accented by gold details and warm candlelight. Guests were encouraged to wear black to round out the cohesive palette, making for a fun twist on the Labor Day tradition of wearing white.
After an intimate ceremony with a family prayer and a cocktail hour complete with a photo booth, the reception kicked off with delicious food and a hilarious bridal party entrance. Ashby and Daniel’s first dance was equal parts sweet and fun, and the choreographed mother-son dance had everyone on their feet and cheering them on. All the guests, from the grandparents to the ring bearers, were out on the dance floor all night long, and Ashby and Daniel were right there with them. From start to finish, it was an incredible day celebrating two of the sweetest souls and their love for each other.
The couple opted for a champagne tower pour in lieu of a cake cutting, completing the vintage vibe with coupe glasses and an antique silver tray.
